Sharko is the one of the two titular characters of Zig & Sharko, alongside Zig, and one of the four main characters. He is a strong, friendly shark who lives in an undersea house with Marina in Season 1. In Season 2, He now lives in a Sandcastle palace with Marina on the Island. In Season 3 and 4, Sharko both lives in the Island and the Cruise Ship.

Personality
Sharko is a protective, sporty, emotionless, confident person, However, Sharko can be sometime too over-protective that even Marina gets mad at him, but she doesn’t always mind him.
Sharko can also be jealous and a coward, Zig knows his weaknesses very well since they were maybe friends since childhood. The most seen weaknesses is probably after experiencing the same embarrassing thing he experienced in the past, This is seen in one of the episodes in season 3.
Sharko is the best friend and bodyguard of Marina, whom he protects at almost all times due to Zig's constant attempts at eating her. Sharko is very muscular and tends to beat up his enemies, particularly Zig.
Sharko is somewhat overprotective of Marina and often gets very jealous when other people hit on her. He is not afraid to butt heads with them for her affection.
He is very serious when it comes to fighting off threats to her life, such as Zig and Bernie. He is a very willing person, often doing whatever Marina wants to keep her happy, even though he occasionally realizes that Marina's desires can result in some dangerous consequences.
He also has an obsession with table tennis, even going as far as to abandon Marina to play it. During the season 2 and 3, Sharko works as a lifeguard on the beach, giving him the oportunity to beat Zig when he makes one of his plans. Sharko seems to have some sort of flirtatious side to him as hinted in "The Manic Mermaid". He gets embarrassed when his parents come even though he is around the age of 40(Age unconfirmed, but he think he is not that old. He is being mature in Season 1 and childish in season 2-3-4). Even though he finds clever ways to comically defeat Zig, he has been shown to have a small brain about 1/2 the size of Bernie. Despite his hatred of Zig's antics, it is revealed he becomes very lonely and sad without Zig around to beat up in "Goin' Home".
Fun fact: Sharko has been edited to be less emotionless and mature in season 3-4. In season 1, he looks like a bodyguard than a bf of Marina. But nowadays, he becomes a funny shark (he is also my fav character in the series!).
Relationship
- Marina: she is his best friend. They have always had a great relationship. He has always liked her and will do anything for her. Whenever she kissed him, He himself goes in love in full. In Season 2 onwards, whenever Marina kisses him, he always switch his teeth into long two buck teeth with a very cute smile (and sometimes with a baby giggling sound)
- Zig: he and Sharko have a love-hate relationship. Sharko stops Zig from trying to eat Marina. Also, Sharko seems to be feeling empty and sad when Zig stops trying to eat Marina(Seems like he gets used to it!), Sharko still cares about him, in the episode Mermaid Fritter, Sharko (During all the episode), tries to make Zig happy. Episodes like Sharko and Zig on the rocks, Lost at Jungle, Lost at Sea or Freezing Buddies, Show us that Sharko can get along and enjoy Zig company.
- Bernie: He and Sharko don't interact or face very often, but he maybe hates Bernie too, since Bernie helps and Cooperates with Zig, even though in some episodes of Season 1, 2, 3 and even 4 Bernie and Sharko can actually get along, this is temporary. Sharko seems to be more peaceful towards Bernie more than Zig. (This maybe implies that Sharko doesn't hate or dislike Bernie, he just know that Bernie will do whatever Zig wants to do)
- Fun Fact 2: In season 1, Shark just has emotions when Zig left the island or not trying to eat Marina(Well i think Sharko does not hate Zig, he still likes Zig as a friend, but he does not agree Zig eating Marina).

Translation: Sharko is both the lover and bodyguard of Marina the mermaid. He is ready to satisfy her every whim. He wears his heart on his sleeve and sees red every time Zig tries to hunt Marina for his afternoon snack...which is most of the time!
Abilities and Powers
- Sharko has exceptional strength. He is capable of lifting large objects, and has even moved the entire island on one occasion. The only character to outmatch his strength is Zig as a were-hyena in the episode "The Were-Yena". Surprisingly, depending on the episode, he can walk on land perfectly fine, and is very fast.
- He can also fly, majority of it is in Season 2 onwards.
- He is a very competent fighter, is black belt in martial arts and boxing. Seems to be a good martial arts teacher despite his techniques being different and strange.
- Shape-shifting: Season 2 Onwards. he can turn himself into any objects such as being a Submarine, a rocket, etc.
- He also uses the Shoe/Slide in Season 4, allowing him to traverse, repair things, and search for Marina if necessary.
Appearance
He is a slender and muscular shark with gray skin, white teeth and gold yellow eyes with scarlet-crimson red iris. In Season 2, he has much more roles: Being a Lifeguard, a Construction worker and many more.
Weaknesses
- Sharko has some weaknesses in Season 2 and onwards 3 and 4 (see below):
- Distractions: In Season 2 onwards:
- Exhaustion: As seen in "What a Day!" Sharko can't run very fast and often is outrun by Zig, he needs some transportations. (Perhaps this was reimagined in Season 2.)
- Fear of heights: Season 2 only. Noticeable episodes in "Zig Airlines" and "High Wired". In "High Wired", this is his first weakness as he can't stand higher than the atmosphere and also fearing Marina would fall into such danger.
- Distractions: Season 1 onwards. Sharko is often getting distracted by any circumstances, especially when Marina is missing from his sight.
- Charm: Season 2 Onwards. Marina's kisses are both his strength and weakness, in "Three-Pronged Disaster", Marina begs him to borrow King Poseidon's Trident, but he refused, until Marina uses her charm in him, getting him off guard in the process. The kiss from Marina also from that episode lets her borrow the Trident once more. In Season 3, in the episode of "The Song of the Sirens", he is immediately distracted from the song emitted from the other Mermaid.
- Traps and Contraptions: He's sometimes getting trapped in Season 1 onwards, along with Zig.

- He has vertigo, musophobia (fear of mice), and coulrophobia (fear of clowns).
Trivia
- Sharko's original home is actually a submerged shipwreck, as shown in the first episodes of Season 1. As the series progressed, he started living with Marina in her undersea house later. It still was his "go-to escape to paradise" place to escape from matters which would make him feel bored out, as seen in Babysitting.
- It's not clearly shown where Sharko sleeps or stays in the night in Season 2. He only seems to share the palace with her to utilize her washing machine or TV, eat from her fridge and relax in the fountain pool as seen in A Generous Mermaid. He even went out to watch a movie at Zig's once. It could be that he guards Marina all night or possibly rests in his shipwreck again, to explain why he rings the doorbell to enter the palace in most episodes.
- Comically, despite being very strong, he cannot break through bamboo.
- In Season 1, Sharko pupils used to be red and has gills but in Season 2 onwards changed to black pupils, not only his eyes were changed but also the gills disappeared from Season 2.
- Sharko seems to have Claustrophobia (Episodes like Freezing Buddies suggest this).
- His personality has made many changes in the series, Sharko used to be emotionless in Season 1, even though in Season 2 onwards he has more personality he stills being emotionless in some episodes, Mostly in Season 3 and 4
