In this episode, A cargo ship runs aground on the beach, the holds full of toys. Zig will try to divert them to achieve his ends: a spinning top acts as a thruster 'difficult to adjust, a game of croquet of attack weapon' insufficiently precise, plastic dolls assembled to form a raft, soap bubbles, and even a giant robot... Zig will turn them into inventions so he can get his mermaid : a spinning top becomes a propelling device, a croquet set, used as weapons, soap bubbles and even a giant robot…" Plot Trivia This is the last episode to use Pilot digital ink-and-paint animation. Starting with the Season 2 premiere, the series is new digital ink-and-paint animation. This episode marks the final and last shot of the Japanese sea captain driving his container ship. Furthermore, it's also the only episode where he is seen crying as his final attempt to keep away from the island has been failed. Usually, the "Executive producer - Marc du Pontavice" text is located on the middle-most top or middle-most bottom of the episode. Here we see that it is located on the top-right, which is unusual for season 1 episodes. This trait is now shared by the series' second, third, and fourth seasons, and even its spinoff.
